Our Story

In early 2024, our founding team spent weeks collecting, testing, and refining AI prompts for their own work. They were writers, developers, and designers — all trying to get the most out of ChatGPT, Claude, and Midjourney. The prompts that worked were scattered across notes apps, spreadsheets, and Notion pages.

They decided to build the resource they wished had existed: a single, well-organized, freely accessible library of prompts that have been tested and refined for real-world use. No paywalls. No subscriptions. No fluff. Just prompts that work.

PromptVault launched in January 2025 with 50 prompts and has grown steadily since, driven entirely by community feedback and our team's own daily use of AI tools.

How We Stay Free

PromptVault is free because we believe in what we're building. We keep the lights on through non-intrusive display advertising (Google AdSense) and occasional affiliate partnerships with AI tool providers. We never accept payment to feature or rank specific prompts — our editorial decisions are independent.
